Students are key agents in higher education systems all over the world, and they embody an enormous potential for further development of educational programs and strategies concerning sustainability. Awareness is rising in today’s youth on the roles and responsibilities they play and will continue to play in the future.

Driven by student interest and international trends, different themes are being addressed by student initiatives, such as corporate social responsibility, curricula improvements, and promotion of sustainable campuses. The workshop will provide an introductory mapping of ongoing student led initiatives for sustainability, and provide the young audience with concrete examples on how students can engage in action.

The workshop will serve as a platform to showcase examples of student organizations actively working to promote changes at their universities, and to highlight their work in the field of education for sustainable development.
